Difference between looking and analyzing an image
That is totally different between looking at an image and analyzing it. To look at an image, you only take a look and try to find something interesting. If there is nothing can catch your eyes in a few seconds, and then you would not look at it anymore. To analyize an image, you not only look at the image, but also think about the meaning behind the image. A snake may just be a snake, but some people would use it to represent devil, because in the Bible, the snake stands for evil. Depand on the person who analyizes the image, his/ her knowledges and culture background may lead every single one to different analysis. I prefer to analyze an image instead of only take a look, because I always can find interesting thing when I analyze an image, like that once I can feel sarrow in an brilliant image that looks like hopeful and joyful because the way that the unclear details show, like the bird in the corner, or the hand gestures. It is really fun when you are able to analyze a picture. Maybe you are not right about what the author is trying to tell through the picture but you may have your own analysis of the picture.

This is a really excellent and thoughtful post. You lost me a little at the end with the part about birds and hand gestures, but other than that, it was clearly written and well-explained. Grade: 1/1
