Don't Be a Hit and Run Quoter

Chapter 3 of They Say I Say is "The Art of Quoting." This chapter compares hit and run quotation and quotation sandwich. A hit and run quatation means that the quote has been mentioned in the writing but not explained well. A quotation sandwich means that you put a quote in the middle of your writing and it connects to your topic, and you also explain how the quote relates to your writing after the qutation. Also, you have to introduce the quote well, like where it is said and who is the author. Comparing to hit and run quote, quotation sandwich is way better, so do be a hit and run quoter.

  1. This is a good explanation. I am confident that you know what a quotation sandwich is from this. 1
